I really love Dubai, there is so much to do and see. The shopping is the best and the architecture is absolutely incredible. We were feeling a little tired on the Sunday night I think the jet lag and long days had started to catch up. We went to the top of the tallest building, Burj Khalifa (well they say it’s the top but it’s only the 124th floor). Then In the afternoon we went on the city tour which was included as part of our stopover package. It was very boring to begin with because it was about the history of the Sheikhs but then we crossed the Creek and got to walk around the bustling alleys of the gold and spice souks. The gold souks are very dazzling, there was just gold everywhere you look and the alleys of gold went on and on 🙂 Then we had a lot of men trying to get us to go with them to buy fake designer bags while the police weren’t there.
We managed to get a fine on the metro (although I did try to act innocent).
I was looking forward to Dubai the most and it is even better than I expected. It’s also quite an alright temperature because it is more of a dry heat rather than the humid heat we get in Queensland.
We are off to Greece today. Our flights weren’t looking like they were going ahead last night (probably didn’t help that I was wishing for them to be cancelled so I could spend more time in Dubai haha). I definitely want to come back and spend a few weeks!
