Hello
I’m Jacqui Humble. I’ve been a graphic designer and artist for over 15 years. I like in the Noosa hinterland with my husband and two little girls.
My perfect day includes sketching ideas on my ipad, drinking hot cacao, eating paleo choc chip cookies and listening to some great music… ideally all at once!
As I child I would tell everyone that I wanted to be an artist and I was often told that I wouldn’t make much money with art. When it came to choosing a university degree I decided on the safe route and went with graphic design. After university I stopped picking up paintbrushes and pencils and focused purely on design. I was a creative director of an agency for 7 years and got to work on some big projects. I enjoyed it, but I didn’t love it.
I watched my little girls pick up their crayons and paint brushes and put their joy onto paper and I realised I missed that feeling and that was my happy place so I picked up my pencils again… and so my story continues.

I believe the little things matter the most. To me that’s drawing, rainy days, pots of tea, seeing beauty in nature, watching my daughters explore... it’s enjoying life’s journey. To me that’s happiness.
MY FAVOURITE QUOTE FROM WAYNE DYER:
“Don’t die with the music still inside you.”

Snapshot of my journey

2008
BECAME A DESIGNER
I graduated from University of the Sunshine Coast with a degree in art and design. After graduating I moved to Hervey Bay where my family was and landed a job as graphic designer in a boutique advertising agency. Towards the end of 2009 I switched to being a freelance designer with a range of fun contracts that kept me busy.
1990s
I grew up in a small rural town in Queensland, Australia. I spent my childhood immersed in nature, both on our large property, the neighbours dairy farm and the beach on school holidays. We always had an array of animals including chooks, cows, turtles, goats, dogs and guinea pigs to name a few. During my childhood I devloped a love for drawing, writing, playing the flute and caring for animals.

2013
GREW OUR BUSINESS
I fell in love with the Sunshine Coast while at uni and Luke loved it too so we decided to uproot our business and made the move from Hervey Bay to Caloundra. We then got a commercial office, employed 6 staff and grew the business. We also won a few awards along the way.
2012
GOT MARRIED
One of the companies I was doing regular freelance work for was owned by a very handsome British man, named Luke. In 2011 we started dating and at the same time we setup a creative agency together. Talk about comittment! We are the perfect team in both life and work so we tied the knot.

2018
COMPLETED OUR FAMILY
We welcomed Indi into our fun-loving little family. Life is better with her infectious giggles! I started work as a graphic designer a year later and really enjoyed getting back into it and specalising more on digital design.
2016
BECAME A MUM
We bought a house in the Noosa hinterland in 2015 and and a month later I found out I was pregnant with Ayla. We did a crazy amount of renovations during my pregnancy. After her birth I quit work for a year and became a full time mum.

2024
FOCUSING ON ART
Both of our girls are in school now and after years of experience working for clients I have decided to focus on creating for myself. This year I’m spending more time doing what I enjoy and exploring my own art and design style.
